You are invited to join in an introductory workshop on ESPERE: Schools of Forgiveness and Reconciliation. In Portuguese espere means “hope” and “active waiting.” ESPERE promotes justice and peace and gives tools to participants from local communities to help others. ESPERE programs now operate in Boston, Chicago, El Paso and Portland, OR. The program especially welcomes community members, educators, counselors, faith leaders, community activists, people in prison ministries, people formerly incarcerated, and social justice advocates.
ESPERE trains participants to work with people who have suffered or perpetrated violence or trauma. Participants learn to assist people in healing and in building non-violent communications and conflict resolution skills.
